Explaining the danger to children

Expliquer le danger aux enfants

As in real life, there are bad people on the Internet or sites with violent content. So, to get the most out of the Internet, we recommend you follow these 6 rules!

When I talk to people I do not know on the Internet, I never give out personal information, even if they ask! My name, my address, or even the name of my school can be used by attackers to do me harm.

I go to sites for my age, to share with friends and share the things I love! But sometimes I find on the Internet violent images and videos or images that I do not understand. I do not stay on these strange sites and if I have any doubt, I ask my parents.

Everything you read or see on the Internet is not necessarily true, so I check the relevant information by asking friends and adults around me.

I am very careful with whom I communicate: even if my contact on the Internet said he was the same age as me, he goes to school next door, and he loves the sport like me, I should not agree to meet him alone after school. I talk to my parents and they will tell me if I can go and they will come with me the first time.

If someone I do not know in real life ask me for information about me or another, or asks me for a service, money or asks me to turn on the webcam, call a phone number I do not know, or send pictures, I immediately stop communication, I disconnect and I immediately speak to my parents.

I am very careful what I publish on my blog or on Facebook. This is not my personal diary, everyone can read what I write on the Internet and use this information to ask me for more. So I talk about my thoughts, my experiences, I publish my photos but I am careful not to give information about my friends!

In summary, I am very careful what I say about me and my friends, and if I have a doubt, I ask an adult in my family or at my school.
