ICE is a web content recognition technology, developed by our engineers. Based on artificial intelligence, it is able to understand the contents and categorise them effectively. This allows the real-time filtering of all websites.
Text documents are analysed and classified in real time, not only in terms of their syntax, but also according to their structure (fonts, colours, layout, links to disputed sites) and their semantic content. Advanced ICE technology then determines the related category from the elements detected in a document. The document is then accepted or blocked based on the safety profile defined for that child.
The filter also acts on the site URL through an international database of pre-categorised sites. This database is updated and maintained daily by a team of document specialists.
ICE technology works with all types of textual documents (HTML pages, RSS feeds, XML feeds).
ICE technology performs a detailed analysis and categorisation of textual digital data, whatever the origin or format, with a success rate of over 98%. ICE technology can identify 30 languages with a complete analysis in 5 languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish).
Designed and developed with the objective of filtering content before posting and without causing slowdown, ICE technology is able to analyse a web page in real-time, or the content of an email in a few milliseconds. This speed avoids waiting, for greater comfort of use.
Thanks to ICE technology, the Parental Filter solution, particularly adapted to family and school environments, has been ranked as number 1 for several years by independent testing organisations.
Among them, the most regular and authoritative test in the profession is the FILTRA test organised by the NGO Action Innocence. See the results on the official Filtra site
